Round 1: Online Assessment (OA)
Type: Online assessment – MCQs and subjective question
Difficulty: Medium
The OA consisted of 46 questions: 45 MCQs and one subjective question. It was a balanced assessment covering programming fundamentals, DSA, core CS subjects, and logical reasoning rather than focusing exclusively on competitive programming.
Topics Covered
Programming: Java, Python, C++, output-based questions, pre-increment vs. post-increment, and error identification.
DBMS & SQL: SQL queries, ACID properties, and candidate keys.
OOP: Inheritance, method calling, exception handling, and coupling.
DSA: Linked lists, finding the middle node, AVL trees, graph nodes, and sorting algorithms.
Computer Networks & APIs: OSI model, HTTP status codes, REST APIs, and PUT vs. PATCH requests.
Machine Learning: Decision trees and one-hot encoding.
Subjective Question
Explain the difference between PUT and PATCH requests and when to use each.
Preparation Tips
Prepare aptitude, logical reasoning, DSA, programming fundamentals, and core CS subjects. Do not limit your preparation to coding problems alone.
Round 2: Technical Interview
Type: Technical interview – Resume, projects, and web development
The technical interview was primarily resume- and project-based, with a strong focus on web development. The interviewer focused on my project architecture, implementation details, and in-depth conceptual understanding rather than extensive DSA or core CS questions.
Questions Asked
If an API takes 15 seconds to respond, what would you check?
Why do computers fundamentally understand binary instead of human language?
Explain your project architecture and the internal working of its components.
How does JWT work, and how is a token created?
Explain specific parts of your projects in depth.
How would you handle 10 lakh users accessing your server simultaneously?
Interview Focus
In-depth understanding of projects and technologies mentioned on the resume.
Conceptual clarity and the reasoning behind implementation choices.
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently.
Understanding the internal working of systems.
Preparation Tips
Know your projects thoroughly and be prepared to explain everything mentioned on your resume. Interviewers may ask deep follow-up questions about specific features and technologies. Practice mock interviews to improve your communication and confidence under pressure.

How would you react if someone pushed you outside your comfort zone?
How would you respond if someone pointed out a mistake in you or your work?
The discussion also included resume-based questions and general behavioral situations.
Interview Focus
Communication and confidence.
Problem-solving and decision-making in workplace situations.
