Rockwell Automation Interview Experience
My interview experience with Rockwell Automation was very positive and well structured. The overall selection process consisted of an Online Assessment, Group Discussion, Technical Interview, Managerial Round, and HR Round.
1. Online Assessment:
The online assessment mainly tested aptitude, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Having a clear understanding of basic concepts and practising aptitude beforehand was helpful.
2. Group Discussion:
The GD focused on discussing a given topic as a group. The key was to communicate clearly, listen to others, contribute relevant points, and maintain a collaborative discussion rather than turning it into a debate.
3. Technical Interview:
The technical round covered my resume, projects, programming fundamentals, SQL, DSA, and core CS concepts. I was also asked about the technologies I had used in my projects and how I approached debugging and solving technical problems. The interviewer was interested not only in the final answer but also in my thought process.
4. Managerial Round:
This round was more scenario-based. I was asked how I would handle situations such as tight deadlines, disagreements with seniors, team conflicts, learning a new technology, and troubleshooting issues. I tried to support my answers with examples from my projects and previous experiences.
5. HR Round:
The HR round included questions about myself, my strengths and weaknesses, career goals, why I wanted to join Rockwell Automation, and whether I was comfortable with the offered role. I was also asked about my interest in working on technology that solves real-world industrial problems.
Overall, the interviewers were supportive and the process was a great learning experience. My biggest takeaway was that strong fundamentals, knowing your resume and projects thoroughly, communicating your thought process clearly, and staying calm during the interview are more important than simply memorizing answers.
I’m happy to have successfully completed the process and been selected for the Graduate Engineer Trainee role at Rockwell Automation.
