UPTIQ Interview Experience | 2026
Sharing my interview experience for UPTIQ for anyone preparing for the process.
Round 1: Online Assessment
The assessment consisted of:
Around 84 MCQs of core subjects
2 DSA questions
The DSA questions were around easy to medium difficulty.
DSA 1: Printing all valid parentheses combinations for
1nDSA 2: A question involving prefix sum + string transformation. I don't remember the exact question.
The interviews were conducted on the same day as the shortlist.
Round 2: Technical Interview
Around 75 candidates were shortlisted for the interview stage.
The interview started with a brief introduction and then moved into my resume.
Topics discussed:
One of my projects and its tech stack and implementation
DBMS, including SQL queries and database locks
System design concepts such as:
Kafka (Was mentioned on my resume)
Redis (Was mentioned on my resume)
Scalability of an application
The interviewer opened my portfolio website on his laptop and asked me to explain the different components and technologies used.
The interview round lasted around 30-40 minutes.
Note: During the interview process, most candidates were asked DSA questions in the first round. I personally wasn't asked a DSA question, but many students were asked DSA questions as part of their technical interview.
Round 3: CTO Interview
Around 30 people got shortlisted for second interview. The second interview was with the CTO. There wasn't a formal introduction; the interviewer directly started with technical questions after scanning my resume.
Questions/topics included:
Drawing the ER diagram of one of my internship projects
Questions about one of my personal projects involving image processing
LLD: Dynamic traffic light algorithm
LLD: Elevator system
This round was also relatively short, around 20–25 minutes, it was more of a rapid questions round.
Overall Process
There were only two interview rounds after the online assessment.
The overall process focused heavily on:
Projects and internships
DBMS
System design
LLD
Practical understanding of the technologies mentioned on the resume
