Role: Imagineer
Batch/Year of Graduation: 2027
Branch: Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
2. Application Process
How did you apply? On-Campus
Timeline:
Application Date: 13 August 2026
Online Assessment Date: 05 September 2026
Interview Dates: 23 September 2026, 24 September 2026
3. Interview Rounds
Round 1 - Technical Interview
Type: Technical
Mode: Virtual
Time: 3:00–3:30 PM, 23 September 2026
Difficulty: Medium
Description
The interview was hosted on Smart Browser and focused mostly on my resume.
After the initial introduction, the interviewer started with questions regarding my internships, including:
The approaches I used
The technology stack involved
The metrics used to measure the success of the features I worked on
He also asked questions about the projects mentioned on my resume, particularly the reasoning behind my choice of technology stack and implementation approach.
Towards the end, I was given a small Python coding problem, since Python was the language I had used for my Machine Learning projects.
The problem was relatively easy. I was given a dictionary containing department names, similarity scores, and document names. I had to return the department along with the highest similarity score for each department, without using any external libraries.
The entire interview lasted around 30 minutes.
Round 2 - Managerial Interview
Type: Managerial
Mode: Virtual
Time: 7:40–7:55 PM, 23 September 2026
Difficulty: Easy
Description
This round was hosted on MS Teams, and was also fairly resume-oriented, although it was not as technically detailed as the first round.
The discussion focused mainly on:
The motivation behind choosing particular problem statements
Failures encountered during projects
Situations where I had to discontinue working on a project
The reasoning behind decisions I had made during my work
Towards the end, I was given a hypothetical situation where I had to choose between two companies and explain which one I would choose.
The interviewer was very friendly, which helped ease the tension during the interview.
Round 3 - HR Interview
Type: HR
Mode: Virtual
Time: 5:40–5:55 PM, 24 September 2026
Difficulty: Easy
Description
The round mostly focused on situational and behavioural questions, and was hosted on MS Teams as well.
Some of the areas discussed included:
Situations where there were differences in opinions
Times when I took an unconventional approach to a problem
Situations where I had to work with an unfamiliar technology
Decisions I had taken in different situations
Overall, the interview went well. The interviewer was friendly and patient, which made the conversation comfortable.
4. Overall Experience and Tips
Overall, the interview experience with Fractal Analytics was nice. The interviewers across all three rounds were friendly and approachable, which made the conversations comfortable.
The interviews were largely resume-oriented, so being able to clearly explain the work, technologies, decisions, and challenges mentioned in the resume was important.
What to Prepare
1. Know Your Resume
Be thorough with every project, internship, technology, and achievement mentioned on your resume.
Be prepared to explain:
Why you chose a particular approach
Why you selected a particular technology
The challenges you faced
How you measured results
What you learned from the experience
2. Know the Company
I’d suggest having a basic understanding of Fractal Analytics, its work in AI and analytics, and the kind of problems it solves.
